the client is seeking an experienced leader to serve as Head of European Supply Chain Management for its largest division within an international industrial organization with global production, sales, procurement, and supply-chain structures. In the context of a cross-functional transformation, the role will support the targeted development, modernization, and professionalization of structures, processes, and collaboration across countries. The position is responsible for shaping the European supply chain organization in a future-oriented way and providing both operational and strategic direction.
In this key role, you will lead four supply chain departments, including disciplinary management of three team leads with approximately 15 employees, and you will hold overall functional responsibility for manufacturing planning across 15 sites in Europe. You will develop supplier relationships to sustainably ensure stability, performance, and supply security, and you will actively intervene in critical deviations through consistent escalation management. You will design, implement, and continuously optimize high-performing supply-chain processes in an international production environment, initiate and drive strategically relevant projects, and advance digitalization and the further development of core processes, including support for automated procurement solutions and optimization of S&OP processes. You will collaborate closely with key interfaces across procurement, logistics, IT, customer relations, and both national and international sites.
Requirements include a completed degree in engineering, business, or a comparable qualification, along with several years of leadership experience in supply chain management, ideally in a manufacturing context with high volume and variant diversity. The role calls for strong expertise in supplier management, supply chain improvement, planning, and modern SCM methods and tools, as well as proven ability to build and continuously develop processes, structures, and KPI-based control systems.
