The client is seeking a Head of Engineering to take ownership of the engineering function and support the scaling of a sophisticated AI-driven platform used in pharmaceutical discovery. In this role, you will help drive engineering impact as the organization grows, with an emphasis on technical delivery, team leadership, and engineering operations.
You will provide leadership across engineering operations, including scaling and leading the engineering team, establishing engineering processes, standards, and ways of working, and providing architectural oversight and technical direction across the platform. You will also be responsible for ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery of complex, enterprise-grade projects.
To be successful, you will bring hands-on engineering leadership in fast-paced startup environments, with experience building backend, data engineering, or full-stack systems at scale. You should have strong capability in technical strategy and long-term platform design, as well as the ability to manage and empower senior engineers and technical leaders, while driving cross-functional delivery through effective stakeholder management and prioritization.
