The client is seeking a Head of Data Science to lead a growing, data-driven organization that places analytics at the center of decision-making. In this pivotal role, you will help shape both strategy and execution by investing in and strengthening capabilities across data science, engineering, and AI, supported by a culture of innovation, experimentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will define and execute the data science strategy in alignment with broader business objectives, build, mentor, and lead a high-performing data science team, and oversee the development and deployment of machine learning models and advanced analytics solutions. You will partner with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities where data science can drive commercial impact, establish best practices for model development, validation, and governance, and deliver measurable outcomes through scalable solutions with clear reporting of impact.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience leading data science teams and driving strategic initiatives, with deep expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and advanced analytics. You should be proficient in tools such as Python or R and familiar with modern data platforms, able to translate complex insights into clear business recommendations, and demonstrate the ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional collaboration. A track record of delivering end-to-end data science projects in a commercial environment is expected.
