As Head of Data, you will lead and take ownership of the company-wide data strategy within a fast-growing, product-led technology business. The role is focused on bringing structure to a fragmented data landscape, establishing a scalable and well-governed data platform, and making measurable impact quickly by unifying data across the organization.
You will own and define the data strategy, shifting from reactive practices to a more consistent and scalable approach. Responsibilities include improving data quality, consistency, and architecture across multiple sources; designing and maintaining data pipelines for ingestion and transformation to support analytics and reporting; and evolving the data technology environment to identify areas for improvement. You will also act as a thought leader, working closely with BI, product, and non-technical stakeholders to shape how data is used across the business.
Initially, you will manage and mentor two data engineers, with the team expected to grow as the function develops. You will bring a strong background in data engineering and data platform ownership, with experience in complex, multi-source data environments and confidence managing stakeholders across technical and non-technical groups. Hands-on experience with cloud-based data stacks is expected, and prior management or mentoring experience is preferred; familiarity with semantic layers or AI-led data accessibility tools is advantageous. You will also help shape the organization’s practical approach to AI for internal use cases that improve access to data.
