This opportunity is for a Head of Data and Infrastructure to become the inaugural senior technical hire at a fast-growing data consultancy. The position involves acting as a strategic client-facing technical leader, responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive data platforms. Key responsibilities include conducting client workshops to transform complex challenges into clear technical strategies and architectural designs. Additionally, the role encompasses ownership of data infrastructure, ETL pipelines, and automation workflows, as well as transforming unstructured sources into centralized, organized data environments. Providing guidance to clients on advancing toward predictive and machine learning capabilities, while maintaining a hands-on approach where needed, is also part of the role.
Qualified candidates will possess strong expertise in data engineering, data infrastructure, and cloud-based architecture, with a proven track record of designing and delivering comprehensive data platforms. Experience with ETL development, data modeling, and data normalization is required, along with a background in AWS environments and familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster. Candidates should be confident in leading client conversations, running workshops, and defining solutions. Experience in the music industry is advantageous.
