Description

This role presents a unique opportunity for individuals interested in joining a dynamic data consultancy to influence technical strategy and work directly with clients from the onset. The organization is a burgeoning consultancy that specializes in data engineering, data infrastructure, and applied machine learning. They aim to revolutionize the way professional services function by integrating deep technical expertise with an automation-focused approach. With solid funding and a strategic vision, they are assembling a team to set new benchmarks in data consulting.

As the Head of Data and Infrastructure, you'll be integral to leading strategy, architecture, and solution delivery. Your responsibilities involve collaborating with clients to clarify and address complex challenges through clear technical planning. You will lead the architecture for AWS-based data platforms and automated workflows, and build scalable data foundations, including ingestion and orchestration. Additionally, you will participate in end-to-end delivery alongside founders, guide early development stages, and support clients in advancing their data capabilities from basic datasets to predictive analytics.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering, architecture design, and the complete platform development lifecycle. Proficiency in ETL design, data modeling, and architecture, along with experience working in a client-facing, consultative capacity, is essential. Leadership experience in technical teams, familiarity with AWS, automation tools, and orchestrators like Airflow or Dagster is desirable. While an understanding of machine learning and predictive analytics is valued, familiarity with various industries, particularly the music industry, is considered advantageous.
