the client is seeking a Head of Crude Oil & Diesel Trading to join an actively developing team and support 360° search and coverage across participants in the global commodities markets. The role will focus on managing crude oil and diesel trading activities while helping strengthen commercial engagement across trading counterparties and related market stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include managing crude oil and diesel trades across Europe and China, working with active leads for crude oil and petroleum products, and conducting negotiations with suppliers and buyers, including agents and logistics providers. The role also requires communication related to trade finance and capital raising with banking partners. The position reports to a Vice President.
The client expects candidates to have 10+ years of experience in global petroleum markets, along with a network of contacts with buyers and sellers of crude oil and/or diesel. A proven track record of executed deals in crude oil and/or diesel is required, as well as experience working with banking instruments such as letters of credit, advance payment guarantees, and performance bonds.
