We are seeking a Head of Controlling to lead controlling functions in a renewable energy-focused organization. In this senior leadership role, you will make the business controllable through strong financial planning, investment and economic calculations, and reliable management reporting. You will partner closely with the executive management and cross-functional teams to support decision-making and performance management across corporate and project contexts.
Your responsibilities include disciplinary leadership and development of a controlling team, overseeing corporate controlling, project controlling, and investment/economic efficiency analyses. You will own planning processes, forecasts, and liquidity forecasting in close alignment with the relevant business areas, and guide controlling-related topics surrounding monthly and annual financial statements while ensuring robust and dependable reporting. The role also requires close collaboration with finance-related functions such as accounting, taxes, treasury, and business development/M&A activities.
To succeed, you will typically bring a degree in business administration, economics/industrial engineering, finance, or a comparable field, along with several years of controlling experience and initial leadership experience, ideally within project-driven business. You should have solid knowledge of relevant accounting standards (HGB and IFRS) and experience with planning, forecasting, and closing processes. You are expected to work in an analytical, structured, and dependable manner with strong responsibility and risk awareness, supported by excellent German and English skills.
