The client is seeking a Head of Controlling (m/w/d) to help make renewable energy operations more transparent and calculable through strong controlling leadership. In this role, you will lead the Controlling function and drive key financial analyses that support business decisions. You will bring your expertise to elevate controlling processes and reporting across the organization.
Your responsibilities include disclosing and steering corporate controlling, project controlling, and investment and profitability calculations. You will oversee planning processes, forecasts, and liquidity forecasts in close coordination with relevant specialist teams, and you will support controlling-related topics around monthly and annual financial statements while ensuring robust reporting. The role also involves close collaboration with management and internal functions such as accounting, taxes, treasury, and M&A.
The client expects a degree in business administration, business engineering, finance, or a comparable field, along with demonstrated experience in controlling and initial leadership experience; experience from project business is ideal. You should have solid knowledge of HGB and IFRS as well as planning, forecasting, and close processes, with an analytical, structured, and dependable working style characterized by a strong sense of responsibility and risk awareness. Fluent German and strong English skills are required; the role offers a leadership position with significant scope for shaping the function, along with flexible working arrangements and professional development opportunities.
