The client is seeking a Head of Communications to help lead and scale global communications strategy for a growing Layer 1 project. The role includes shaping narrative, positioning, and key messaging based on ongoing research into competitors, news, and industry trends, and ensuring communications align with the organization’s vision, mission, and goals.
Responsibilities include overseeing public relations and media relations efforts by coordinating with a PR agency and other external contractors, curating a range of content and promotional materials (such as speeches, talking points, press releases, and stakeholder communications), and managing copywriter workflows to sustain a steady pipeline of informative, engaging content. The role will also assess and coordinate participation in key industry events and lead company-run events, while building thought-leadership content pipelines that elevate key speakers and themes across areas such as DeFi, Metaverse/NFTs, gaming and esports, and crypto/Web3.
Requirements include strong oral and written communication with presentation skills and fluency in English. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in marketing, communications, PR/editing, or journalism (with tech experience, particularly in crypto/blockchain, NFTs, and DeFi, as a plus), and the ability to translate technical information into clear, audience-appropriate messaging for both mainstream and technical audiences. The client also expects strong interpersonal and networking skills, high organization and time management, a proactive approach to generating and delivering creative ideas, the ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines, and a detail-oriented, high-quality output mindset in a fast-paced environment.
