Description

the client is building a blockchain-based real world asset investment protocol that tokenizes and facilitates decentralized investments in physical assets such as real estate, commodities, and bonds, with the aim of making these opportunities accessible to crypto investors. the client is seeking a driven, energetic, and relationship-focused head of business development to help grow the platform through revenue expansion, customer base growth, and the identification of new partnership opportunities. This role is expected to operate autonomously and will be responsible for originating and nurturing relationships with prospective investors to drive sales and raise capital across the platform.

Responsibilities include leading the token capital-raising process and driving protocol TVL, developing and executing business development strategies to expand presence in the DeFi ecosystem, and building a pipeline of prospective investors through networking and relationship-building. The role will involve identifying, negotiating, and securing strategic partnerships aligned with the client’s vision, cultivating and maintaining relationships with key DeFi stakeholders, and coordinating investor meetings, roadshows, and fundraising events. The head of business development will also develop investor-facing materials to communicate investment strategies and opportunities, maintain thorough internal documentation for tracking and analysis, qualify and nurture leads through the sales funnel, and provide regular reporting to management on sales performance and market trends.

Qualifications include at least four years of proven experience in business development, capital raising, or related roles within web3, defi, or blockchain, along with demonstrated experience in capital formation in a crypto firm, foundation, protocol, or fund. The role is suited to candidates with an established network that can be leveraged within the web3 ecosystem and with proficiency across sales platforms, strong knowledge of protocols and blockchain technology, and the ability to translate that knowledge into effective business development strategies. The client expects excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, strong relationship-building abilities, and the ability to work autonomously with initiative, with a goal-oriented, results-driven approach.
