The client is seeking a Head of Asset Management to provide high-impact leadership across a large-scale housing portfolio. In this role, you will report directly to the Director and take ownership of strategic asset planning, compliance, and investment delivery. You will lead transformation across the service by driving innovation, embedding best practice, and ensuring assets deliver long-term value for residents across the asset lifecycle from development through to maintenance and regeneration.
Key responsibilities include leading strategic asset management across development, investment, and responsive and planned maintenance. You will develop and implement a robust long-term (30-year) asset strategy aligned to financial and compliance frameworks, establish building safety and viability methodologies following relevant safety and compartmentalisation reviews, and create a compliant, detailed asset register aligned to regulatory expectations and best practice. You will also drive service transformation, including initiatives such as smart component replacement and delivery of decency programme outcomes.
Applicants should bring proven senior leadership experience across large-scale housing asset portfolios, ideally within social housing, along with a strong background in capital investment and repairs and maintenance programmes. You should demonstrate success in organisational change management and service improvement, and have deep understanding of regulatory compliance, building safety, and asset governance. The role also requires the ability to develop teams and embed skills transfer, with flexibility on rate and working arrangements to support effective delivery and balanced commitments.
