The client is seeking a senior analytics leader to build and lead a centralized Analytics & MI function operating as a shared service across multiple business areas. This role combines strategic direction with hands-on delivery, focused on turning data into actionable, decision-ready commercial insight. The position will support a shift from traditional reporting to insight-led analytics that can influence priorities and improve business outcomes.
Key responsibilities include leading and developing an analytics team (including managers and analysts), embedding AI tools and automation into analytics workflows to increase efficiency and impact, and overseeing scalable data models, reporting automation, and governance frameworks. The role will act as a senior stakeholder partner, translating analytics into clear recommendations and ensuring outputs remain commercially relevant and usable by decision-makers.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading analytics or MI teams in a complex business environment, with strong “so what” thinking to translate data into commercially actionable recommendations. The role expects the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, alongside hands-on technical capability with SQL and beneficial experience using Python or similar tools. Familiarity with modern data platforms and BI/visualization tools, as well as an understanding of how AI tools can be applied within analytics workflows, is also required.
