Description

Head of Analytics is a senior leadership role with the opportunity to shape a modern, AI-enabling analytics function during a period of transformation. The position sits centrally within the business, combining strategic leadership with hands-on delivery to influence how data, analytics, and decisioning support commercial outcomes. The organization operates in a consumer-focused, data-rich, regulated environment, with an emphasis on responsible decision-making and customer outcomes.

The role will lead a centralized Analytics and MI function that serves multiple business areas as an internal consultancy. Responsibilities include leading and developing a high-performing analytics team, shifting reporting from descriptive to actionable, insight-led analytics that informs senior decisions, and embedding AI and advanced analytics into day-to-day workflows to improve speed, quality, and scalability of insights. The position also oversees scalable data and reporting infrastructure, including automated reporting and governed datasets, and supports operational leadership around a decision engine, including line management of a Decision Engine Manager and oversight of migration to a new decisioning platform.

Key responsibilities include managing and prioritizing a shared analytics workload across finance, marketing, and executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience in analytics or MI within a complex commercial environment, with a proven ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders. Hands-on SQL capability is required, with Python experience preferred; experience with modern data stacks and reporting tools is expected, alongside practical experience applying AI tools with an understanding of benefits, limitations, and governance. The role is suited to someone comfortable operating in fast-moving environments where structure is evolving.
