The client is seeking a Head of Analytics to lead a centralized Analytics and MI function that operates as a shared service across multiple business areas. This senior leadership role combines strategic direction with hands-on delivery, focused on turning data into actionable, commercially relevant insight and enabling an insight-led, decision-ready analytics approach.
Key responsibilities include leading and developing the analytics function (including managers and analysts), driving the shift from reporting to insight-led analytics across the business, and embedding AI tools and automation into analytics workflows to improve efficiency and impact. The role also oversees scalable data models, reporting automation, and governance frameworks, while acting as a senior stakeholder partner to influence priorities and deliver recommendations that executives can use to make better decisions.
The client expects proven experience leading analytics or MI teams in a complex business environment, with strong “so what” thinking to translate data into clear, commercially actionable recommendations. The role requires the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, hands-on technical capability with SQL (with Python or similar tools beneficial), familiarity with modern data platforms and visualization tools, and an understanding of AI tools and how they can be applied within analytics workflows.
