The client offers 360° search solutions to global commodity markets, with coverage across major market participants. The client is seeking a director-level hire for a gas digitalisation team within its European gas trading organisation.
In this role, you will lead a digitalisation team and drive the digitalisation agenda in collaboration with traders, portfolio managers, and key stakeholders. You will develop, implement, and execute team strategies aligned with corporate objectives, and will support business growth by identifying, proposing, and approving potentially profitable opportunities. You will lead a systematic and quantitative approach, with accountability for team performance, development, and delivery.
You will monitor market trends to help maximise outcomes and apply strong analytical thinking to navigate international gas trading fundamentals. The ideal candidate will have strong experience setting strategic direction, leadership experience in the energy trading industry (including a leadership tenure consistent with director-level expectations), strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail, and proficient English communication skills. Reporting is to the Head of European Gas Trading.
