the client is seeking a Head of AI Engineering to help build a next-generation, AI-native data layer. Working closely with the Group CTO, you will shape the technical direction and support the evolution of global data products as the business scales a unified platform across multiple entities.
Key responsibilities include architecting and delivering a centralized AI-native data platform; building and scaling high-performance data pipelines, APIs, and data services; and deploying AI and automation to improve data quality, enrichment, and verification. You will also contribute to technical due diligence on acquisitions, own post-acquisition integration plans, and engage with senior leadership and investors by presenting architecture and strategy.
You will bring 10+ years of experience building production-grade systems at scale, with a background as a Staff/Principal Engineer, senior individual contributor, or technical leader in a high-growth environment. Strong hands-on coding skills in Python, SQL, and TypeScript are required, along with experience delivering large-scale data platforms, APIs, and distributed systems, and the ability to operate across architecture and delivery while communicating effectively at an executive level. Experience with AI/LLM systems, data enrichment, B2B data products, or hybrid infrastructure environments is desirable, and the role begins as a hands-on individual contributor with scope to build and lead a team.
