Over the past year, they have built a next-generation virtual sales assistant powered by genAI and are now scaling into a fully AI-first business. Their data function is well-established and collaborative, requiring a leader who can elevate their technical direction and AI capabilities.
Your responsibilities will include leading a team of Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers, remaining hands-on in development, and shaping the AI roadmap across classic machine learning, genAI, and emerging agentic approaches. You will also build and optimize full-stack AI solutions that integrate smoothly into customer environments, drive delivery best practices, and engage with enterprise customers to understand challenges and shape product direction. Additionally, you will champion a culture of learning, technical excellence, and customer-focused innovation.
The ideal candidate will have strong commercial experience building and deploying AI or ML-driven products, hands-on technical skills in Python and modern ML frameworks, and practical experience with cloud environments, ideally AWS. Familiarity with deployment tools such as Docker or Kubernetes is desirable. You should possess a proven ability to lead, coach, and develop technical team members, work comfortably in both strategic and hands-on capacities, and have experience engaging with external stakeholders in enterprise settings.
