The client, a global beverage brand, is embarking on an international expansion strategy with a focus on entering high-growth markets. They aim to establish a strong presence by emphasizing quality, innovation, and unique consumer experiences. As part of this expansion, the client is looking for a Head in India to lead market entry and drive the brand's growth.

This role involves full responsibility for profit and loss (P&L) management, strategic expansion, and maintaining operational excellence in India. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in building a distinct brand presence through authentic products, robust distribution, and effective marketing strategies.

Key responsibilities for the Head include commercial and market development, which involves achieving revenue and profit targets, establishing a comprehensive distribution network, and negotiating to secure a competitive advantage. The role also entails overseeing OEM production and supply chain activities, ensuring compliance and quality, optimizing sourcing logistics, and managing product registrations.

The Head will be responsible for localizing global brand positioning, executing marketing campaigns, and leading digital and on-premise activations to enhance brand awareness and customer engagement. Additionally, the position includes financial management duties such as owning the P&L, enforcing financial discipline, and delivering forecasts that align with global governance standards.

The ideal candidate for this position should possess 12 to 15 years of experience in the FMCG sector, preferably within the beverage or alcohol industry, and should have held leadership roles in India for at least 3 to 5 years. Candidates with a proven track record in launching or scaling consumer brands, especially from the ground up, are preferred. A strong background in sales, distribution, market entry execution, and experience with OEM manufacturing and product localization will be advantageous.
