The client is seeking a Head Designer to join its growing team. The role will lead the design and development of seasonal product assortments in collaboration with the Creative Director, ensuring the work aligns with brand direction and business objectives.
Key responsibilities include managing design timelines and ensuring project milestones are met, communicating effectively with internal partners, maintaining quality and consistency across all product categories, and supporting process improvements and additional design initiatives as needed. The Head Designer will also provide guidance and support to junior team members.
Qualifications include 5+ years of experience in apparel design and a strong understanding of the product design and development process from concept through production, particularly in elevated ready-to-wear environments. The ideal candidate can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting, prioritizing competing deadlines, and brings excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (including Illustrator and Photoshop). This full-time on-site role is based in NYC.
