The client is seeking a senior leader for the role of Head of Legal and Compliance, responsible for fully leading the development and continuous optimization of the group’s global legal and compliance functions. This position will support the group’s strategy and major initiatives, including cross-border M&A, investments, and restructuring transactions, with scope covering legal architecture design, due diligence, deal negotiation, and risk control.
The role will establish and continuously improve a comprehensive compliance management system, including anti-corruption, anti-trust, trade and sanctions compliance, and data compliance. It will provide legal and compliance risk recommendations to the board and senior management, and coordinate domestic and overseas legal matters for major decisions, such as dispute resolution, contract frameworks, and corporate governance.
The successful applicant will have a PhD in law or a JD (Juris Doctor), along with substantial cross-border legal experience and a background in large enterprises or multinational companies (preferred). They should have strong knowledge of international commercial legal frameworks and key regulatory environments across major jurisdictions, proven experience in managing teams of professional staff, strong business judgment and strategic thinking, ability to work in both English and Chinese as working languages, and high professional integrity and resilience under pressure.
