Description

A regional group is seeking a Group Chief People Officer to lead people and organizational strategy across multiple countries. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, the role will advise the CEO and executive team on leadership, workforce, culture, and organizational matters while supporting the building of a stronger management team to prepare the organization for continued growth.

Key responsibilities include developing leaders internally by creating consistent standards for leadership, performance, and talent management, and strengthening accountability and decision-making across senior leadership. The role will build a group-wide leadership framework for new managers and executives, establish succession plans for critical roles, identify high-potential employees and leadership gaps, and create an early-career leadership programme covering recruitment, assessment, job rotations, mentoring, and placement. It will also lead organization design, workforce planning, restructuring, and capability reviews, and set performance-management standards including talent reviews, promotion criteria, KPI frameworks, and underperformance processes.

The Group Chief People Officer will oversee group-wide learning and career-development programmes, improve employee engagement and the overall employee experience, and enhance internal communication and culture. They will manage strategic hiring and the broader HR function, supporting areas such as compensation and payroll operations, HR systems, employee relations, policies, compliance, and mobility. Required qualifications include progressive HR or organizational leadership experience in senior executive roles, demonstrated experience leading regional/multinational people functions, a strong track record in leadership development and succession planning, proven organizational transformation and workforce planning capability, and the ability to advise and influence executive leadership; a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is expected, with a master’s degree or MBA considered an advantage.
