The Dean of the College of Business is responsible for overseeing all instructional programs within the College, including course offerings, faculty management, class scheduling, student registration, and allocation of resources. The Dean collaborates with Department Chairpersons, other Deans, the Provost, University committees, and faculty and staff members to fulfill these responsibilities. Key responsibilities include coordinating planning and evaluation of educational activities, managing departmental budgets, scheduling courses, supervising instruction, allocating physical resources, overseeing curriculum development, facilitating student experiential learning, evaluating student records, recruiting faculty, providing faculty development opportunities, evaluating faculty performance, maintaining faculty records, coordinating adjunct faculty employment, fundraising efforts, alumni engagement, student recruitment, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.Additionally, the Dean coordinates the annual review of Planning and Assessment documents, promotes engagement in college events and activities, updates catalogues, facilitates communication between faculty and administration, organizes continuing education and community service programs, serves as a liaison with the public and higher education community, involves business and industry advisory councils in academic programs, and performs other duties as assigned by the Provost and President. The Dean plays a crucial role in ensuring the success and growth of the College of Business by overseeing various aspects of academic operations, faculty management, student engagement, and external partnerships.
