The client is seeking a Global Employment & Labor Law Senior Legal Counsel for a Director-level position based in Reston, Virginia. This role involves providing legal counsel on employment and labor law matters across various global jurisdictions, including advising on state, federal, and international policies. The successful candidate will draft and review employment contracts and policies, support internal investigations, oversee outside counsel for worldwide litigation and employment matters, and collaborate with HR and management to ensure compliance with employment practices. This is a hybrid role, and candidates must be based within commutable distance or willing to relocate to Reston, Virginia.
Applicants should hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling employment matters across the US, especially in California, and possess global employment and labor law experience, including managing outside counsel overseas. This position demands a strong knowledge of employment and labor law in multiple jurisdictions, along with exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Moreover, the candidate should be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently and demonstrate proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and global regions. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary between $250,000 and $320,000 USD, depending on relevant experience, along with an extensive benefits package.
