The Global Business Unit President opportunity is with a global industrial manufacturer that provides engineered and standard solutions to various markets. The Business Unit President will lead a $150M business unit with the goal of achieving growth through organic growth, M&A, and diversification of market segments. Reporting to the Divisional President, this role requires a strong commercial background to drive new growth with customers and market segments. The position is based in Houston, TX with relocation assistance available for non-local candidates.
Responsibilities for the role include full P&L responsibility of the global unit, strategic management, direction, and leadership of the division, and creating an environment that drives growth and profitability. The successful candidate will work closely with the Divisional President on integrating future acquired companies, establishing an organizational structure that supports the strategic vision, and driving operational improvements for production and quality. Additionally, the Business Unit President will be responsible for talent development, maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and fostering a collaborative team-based culture.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field, with an MBA or Masters degree preferred. They should have at least 10 years of experience in industrial b2b manufacturing, with 5 years in a senior leadership role responsible for a P&L. Strong financial acumen, business development skills, and the ability to work with different cultures are essential for this role. The successful applicant will be strategic, hands-on, and possess strong communication and teamwork skills to drive growth and maintain a goal-oriented environment.
