The client is seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Genesis House Director to oversee the daily operations of Genesis House and help provide a safe, supportive environment for pregnant women preparing for motherhood and independent living. The Director will provide leadership and supervision to House Mothers and staff, support residents, ensure compliance with relevant state and organizational requirements, and represent The client in the community.
Key responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, staffing, schedules, programming, and classes; hiring, training, supervising, and supporting house staff; managing resident intake and providing direct support as residents work toward stable housing and independence; and assisting residents in obtaining essential documents, including social security cards and birth certificates. The role also includes ensuring compliance with mandated reporting requirements and applicable state regulations, representing the program at community meetings and outreach events, developing relationships with community organizations and partners, and providing staff coverage as needed during PTO or emergencies.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, psychology, or a related field, or equivalent experience, along with prior leadership and supervisory experience. The role requires strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally, and knowledge of mandated reporting and state compliance requirements. Current required clearances (or the ability to obtain them) and demonstrated capability to coordinate with staff and residents in a structured, compliance-focused environment are expected.
