The client is seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Genesis House Director to oversee the daily operations of Genesis House and help create a safe, supportive environment for pregnant women preparing for motherhood and independent living. The Director provides leadership and supervision to House Mothers and staff, supports residents, ensures adherence to state and organizational requirements, and represents The client in the community.
The Genesis House Director role includes overseeing daily operations, staffing, schedules, and programming and classes. It also involves hiring, training, supervising, and supporting house staff; overseeing resident intake and providing direct support as residents work toward stable housing and independence; and assisting residents in obtaining essential documents needed for their transition. The Director ensures compliance with mandated reporting requirements and applicable state regulations, represents the program at community meetings and outreach events, develops and maintains relationships with community organizations and partners, and provides staff coverage as needed during PTO or emergencies.
Qualified candidates will typically have a bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent experience, along with previous leadership and supervisory experience. The role requires strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally, and knowledge of mandated reporting and state compliance requirements. Candidates must have required clearances (or the ability to obtain them) and are expected to be able to meet compliance requirements while leading a dedicated team.
