The client is seeking applications for the role of General Psychiatry Residency Associate Program Director. This is a full-time Clinician-Educator position eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, reporting directly to the Program Director for the Psychiatry Residency Program.
The position supports an established general psychiatry residency program that provides exposure to diverse populations through specialized clinical settings, including a Spanish-speaking mental health clinic, Deaf Wellness Clinic, and Transgender Clinic. The program also includes an integrated Medicine in Psychiatry Service (MIPS) with embedded medicine units in psychiatry clinics and chemical dependency treatment settings. The role will contribute to residency education and training activities, including supporting resident mentorship and the program’s academic and clinical mission.
Minimum qualifications include an M.D. or D.O. degree with completion of an ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency program, board certification in psychiatry, and eligibility for medical licensure. Candidates should have at least three years of clinical and/or academic experience in psychiatry after residency, a demonstrated commitment to resident education and mentorship, and strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership abilities. Familiarity with ACGME accreditation standards, Milestones, and evaluation processes is required, along with evidence of scholarly activity such as publications, presentations, or educational innovations. Prior educational or administrative experience within an ACGME-accredited program is strongly preferred.
