The General Manager Venues is responsible for overseeing the management of multiple major venues in Victoria, including the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, Lakeside Stadium/State Athletics Centre, State Netball and Hockey Centre, and the Knox Regional Sports Park. The role requires a continuous improvement mindset and a focus on delivering high-quality customer experiences, ensuring that every user has a seamless, safe, and quality experience at the venues. Building constructive working relationships with key stakeholders such as tenants, elite sporting groups, school and community users, and commercial users is essential for success in this role.Reporting directly to the CEO, the GM Venues will work closely with the Executive team to prioritize high-quality service delivery, customer experience, and problem-solving. The role requires a team-first approach and a commitment to not being satisfied with business as usual, striving for excellence in venue management. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in managing world-class venues and a passion for creating exceptional experiences for all users of the facilities.
