the client is an agency specializing in the conceptualization, production, and staging of very high-profile events for luxury brands. this role will lead the strategic growth and operational success of the client’s us presence, taking a hands-on approach to business development and client management to ensure service delivery aligned with luxury standards. the position will be a sole-contributor role for us marketing, supported by resources from hq in europe and a network of local contractors, with global collaboration to align business strategy and event execution.
key responsibilities include developing and executing a comprehensive business growth strategy for the us market, identifying and securing new luxury clientele, and maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing clients to support sustained partnerships and repeat business. the general manager will also represent the client at significant industry events to build brand recognition and credibility, and oversee operational and financial performance for the us division with a focus on profitability and growth. additionally, the role will involve managing the existing team and recruiting additional personnel as necessary to support expansion.
the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in luxury event production or a related field, with a strong professional network within luxury, fashion, and entertainment sectors. qualifications include demonstrated business development and sales success, an entrepreneurial mindset capable of building and expanding a new business unit, and exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. the role also expects solid understanding of us luxury market dynamics, experience with budget management and p&l oversight, and the ability to navigate diverse cultural frameworks for cross-border operations, with fluency in english and french as a strong plus.
