As the General Manager Planning and Construction, you will be responsible for leading the planning, asset management, and delivery of a $1.4 billion capital programme for our client. This programme includes the Nature Calls wastewater project in Palmerston North, renewals and compliance upgrades across Rangit?kei, and growth capacity in Horowhenua. Your role will involve owning the asset management strategy and long-term investment plan, as well as developing business cases to justify the programme to the Board, lenders, and the Commerce Commission. This increase in capital delivery in the region will require building a model to match it, including establishing a PMO, delivery and procurement approach, and ensuring the supplier market has the capacity to meet these ambitions.In addition, you will be tasked with bringing together three separate sets of asset data, condition information, and management plans into a coherent view to inform investment decisions. This role will require strong leadership skills to oversee the planning and delivery of the capital programme, as well as the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
