The General Manager People, Culture & Safety role at MainPower involves reporting directly to the CE and being a member of the ELT, with responsibilities including organizational development, change leadership, and building a resilient, adaptable system. This position focuses on transforming the organization by enhancing leadership capability, driving enterprise-wide change, and ensuring the safety of employees. The successful candidate will translate the organization's strategy into an empowered and high-performing workforce, overseeing areas such as organizational development, culture and engagement, leadership and capability, and health, safety, environment, and quality.In addition to technical competencies, the ideal candidate for this role should possess genuine energy, a can-do attitude, and a strong community orientation. Building relationships within the organization and the wider North Canterbury community is essential, as collaboration with other electricity distribution businesses is a key aspect of the role. The General Manager People, Culture & Safety will also support the Chief Executive in engaging with the organization's People & Remuneration and Safety, Health, Wellbeing & Environment Board subcommittees, contributing to the overall success and impact of the organization.
