the client is seeking a General Manager/Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations and coordinate cross-functional departments to move from initial design ideas to full product launch. The role focuses on structuring processes and improving efficiency across development and production, content creation, marketing and PR, social media management, and e-commerce with customer service and fulfillment. A key objective is freeing the founder’s time so she can focus on designing new styles and producing social and e-commerce content.
The General Manager will manage workflows, systems, and communication processes to support the team and protect the founder’s time. Responsibilities include improving and creating work flows; reviewing roles and responsibilities with KPI-driven accountability; developing project workstreams, a launch calendar, and timelines; and actively monitoring team output in real time to ensure quality and efficiency. The role also supports hiring-related decisions, performance review systems (including feedback and corrective steps tied to KPIs), removing redundant tasks, and instructing team members to create and maintain “how-to” guides for their roles that are reviewed and updated regularly.
In addition, the General Manager will facilitate weekly team meetings and recurring one-on-ones, host brief meeting agendas, and provide leadership that keeps the team supported and aligned on daily priorities. The position is expected to include coordination with executive stakeholders on operational updates and business-critical financial and compliance-related matters. Requirements include prior experience in fashion or luxury goods and a strong understanding of e-commerce, along with previous experience in digital marketing through Instagram and TikTok and other social media platforms.
