The client is seeking a General Manager for their location in Landsberg am Lech, Germany. The client is a non-profit, internationally active organization with a focus on humanitarian aid, medical care, and sustainable development. The General Manager will be responsible for leading and developing the team on site, implementing and evolving the strategic direction, managing budgets, and overseeing areas such as personnel, finances, communication, fundraising, and public relations. They will also be tasked with building and maintaining networks with partner organizations, donors, volunteers, and media, as well as representing the organization nationally.
The ideal candidate will have several years of leadership experience, preferably in an NGO, non-profit sector, or values-based organization. They should possess strong communication skills, intercultural competence, experience in fundraising, public relations, and/or project management, as well as entrepreneurial thinking and a high level of social responsibility. A strategic and structured approach to work, along with fluency in German and English, is required. The successful candidate will identify with the ethical values of a non-profit organization.
