The General Manager Finance and Corporate will have overall responsibility for the financial integrity, commercial performance, and corporate health of our client. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, this role will oversee the finance, treasury, commercial, legal, risk, and assurance functions, including managing a team of key personnel such as the Chief Financial Officer, Manager Corporate and Commercial, and Manager Legal, Risk and Assurance. With our client projected to have significant debt and a substantial capital program, the General Manager will be tasked with setting the financial strategy to balance regional investment needs with affordability for households, as well as leading treasury and debt management, relationships with lenders, and readiness for economic regulation.In addition to financial strategy, the General Manager Finance and Corporate will also be responsible for implementing core financial systems and providing an accurate and independent view of the organization's health to the Chief Executive and Board. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the organization's financial stability and success, with a focus on managing debt, revenue, and financial relationships to support the long-term growth and sustainability of our client. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong leadership, financial acumen, and strategic thinking to navigate the complex financial landscape of the organization and drive its financial performance and corporate health.
