The client seeks a General Manager to lead Sales, Marketing, and Operations for its Romanian Sales & Logistic Branch. The role includes full P&L responsibility, with a strong focus on business strategy and channel development across Romania, partnering with a customer base that spans large and international retailers as well as traditional/specialized and online channels. The General Manager will coordinate Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Logistics teams and will be responsible for continuous improvement and process optimization across subsidiary areas.
Responsibilities include driving commercial growth, launching new product lines, and overseeing the local implementation of a new ERP system with support from Corporate IT. The role will require setting and managing KPIs, applying financial competence, and using a proactive, practical, hands-on leadership style to guide teams and improve performance. The General Manager is expected to strengthen relationships across international and local retailers while bringing strong judgment and creative commercial insights to the strategy and execution.
Qualifications include a university degree in Economics or an equivalent field, proven sales experience in FMCG (preferably non-food) and retail with strong branded products, and prior experience as a General Manager or Commercial Director leading Sales and Marketing teams. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience managing international and local retailers, a solid commercial and financial mindset with KPI focus, and the ability to work effectively within international groups, with fluency in Romanian and English. The position is based in the Bucharest area and requires travel across Romania and to the group Headquarters.
