the client is seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial General Manager to lead local operations in the Brownsville, TX area. The role offers full ownership of a multi-million-dollar branch, functioning as the chief executive of a self-contained business unit supported by the resources of a larger national organization. The General Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership with autonomy and direct impact on long-term business performance.
Key responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of branch operations, including sales, logistics, inventory management, P&L, customer service, and staffing. The role will serve as the market-facing leader, cultivating key customer relationships and identifying growth opportunities across commercial, residential, and industrial verticals. The General Manager will manage a team of 6–7 employees, recruit, train, and develop team members, and maintain a safe, efficient, customer-centric work environment.
The successful candidate will monitor and drive financial performance with a focus on profitability, gross margin, and long-term revenue growth, while building and executing business development plans to expand the branch’s footprint. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, and at least 5+ years of experience in sales, operations, or general management, with prior experience overseeing a full P&L and leading a team essential. Fluency in English and Spanish is highly preferred, and familiarity with building materials and related supply sectors is a strong plus.
