The client is a specialist engineering consultancy focused on electrical and power systems engineering design and advisory for critical infrastructure projects. As the organization enters its next phase of growth driven by investment and market demand across the energy transition, utilities, and resources, it is seeking a General Manager to lead the next stage of national expansion.
The General Manager will report into executive leadership and be responsible for overall business performance and growth, combining strategic direction with hands-on commercial engagement with key clients and projects. Key responsibilities include defining and executing the growth strategy as the consultancy scales nationally, identifying opportunities across utilities and energy infrastructure as well as resources and industrial markets, and maintaining positioning at the forefront of major infrastructure and energy projects.
The role also includes building and maintaining senior relationships with asset owners, utilities, EPC contractors, and infrastructure developers, driving revenue growth and pipeline development across multiple market segments, and positioning the business as a trusted engineering partner. Operationally, the General Manager will lead and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering technical design and advisory services, ensure consistent high-quality outcomes across concurrent projects, and oversee project performance, resource planning, and operational efficiency, while supporting expansion of service offerings and continued growth in energy transition and grid infrastructure consulting capability.
