The General Manager, Illawarra Hospitals Group (GM, IHG) is a crucial leadership position within our client, reporting directly to the Executive Director, Clinical Operations. The GM, IHG is responsible for overseeing the operational leadership and performance of multiple hospitals, including Wollongong, Shellharbour, Bulli, and Coledale Hospitals. This role involves managing a combined bed base of over 700 and an annual budget of $813 million, with a focus on ensuring safe, high-quality care, maintaining clinical governance, optimizing access and flow, managing the workforce, monitoring financial performance, and meeting key service targets.The GM, IHG plays a vital role in driving the overall success of our client by overseeing various aspects of hospital operations and ensuring that all facilities are meeting established standards of care. This position requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to effectively manage resources to achieve organizational goals. The GM, IHG will work closely with other members of the executive team to develop and implement strategies for improving patient care, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving continuous improvement across the hospital group.
