The client is seeking a Managing Director to lead their Australian operations during an exciting growth phase. This role involves overseeing 60 retail locations across the country and a head office in Melbourne, with the aim of driving growth, culture, and operational excellence.
The Managing Director will report to the global head office and will have full P&L responsibility, ensuring the brand's success in maintaining its reputation for quality, comfort, and craftsmanship.
The position requires leadership of a diverse team, coordination between different departments such as operations, finance, marketing, supply chain, and HR, and collaboration with global stakeholders to implement strategic initiatives effectively.
The responsibilities include overseeing retail, wholesale, and e-commerce operations, driving innovations in customer experience and digital engagement, and ensuring financial discipline through effective planning and budgeting.
Building operational excellence through process improvement and data-driven decision-making will be a critical part of the role, as well as enhancing the local leadership capability through mentorship and coaching.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in leading large-scale retail businesses, preferably in the apparel and footwear sector, with strong operational and financial acumen.
