Key responsibilities include directing service, installation, dispatch, and office operations to improve consistency, responsiveness, and execution quality. The role will raise HVAC service and replacement performance through stronger technician coaching, better field follow-through, and clearer expectations. The General Manager will own the business rhythm around budgeting, forecasting, pricing discipline, and margin improvement, and will build scorecards, weekly operating routines, and performance reviews to create accountability across both field and support teams.
The position requires coaching frontline leaders and technicians on key performance outcomes such as close rate, average ticket, membership growth, and overall customer experience. The General Manager will also support stronger talent development through hiring, onboarding, training, and retention practices, and will help transition the organization from founder-reliant decision-making to a metrics-driven operating model. Qualifications include proven leadership experience in residential HVAC or a similar field-based home services environment, demonstrated ownership of P&L performance with budgeting, forecasting, and margin improvement, and the ability to use performance data to improve execution; preferred experience includes leading a branch or multi-function residential services operation and having HVAC depth with plumbing exposure viewed as helpful.
