Description

the client is a Private Equity-backed, multi-site organisation operating across the UK, delivering essential services through a large operational footprint. The business is in a high-growth, evolving phase focused on strengthening financial insight, improving data quality, and supporting strategic decision-making. A standalone FP&A Manager role is available, reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the wider leadership team.

In this role, you will establish and build a best-in-class FP&A function, with ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. Responsibilities include leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning; developing rolling forecasts, scenario modelling, and sensitivity analysis; and producing monthly management reporting covering P&L, cash flow, KPIs, and board packs. You will also provide high-quality insight to senior leadership and external stakeholders, support investor and covenant reporting, and contribute to financial reviews related to exit readiness and transaction activity.

You will play a key role in improving the quality, structure, and integrity of financial and operational data by identifying and resolving data gaps, inconsistencies, and reconciliation issues, and by building and maintaining robust data models and reporting frameworks. The position emphasizes automation to reduce reliance on manual processes, including dashboard development using Power BI, and collaboration with operational teams and cross-functional partners across finance, operations, and IT to improve data flows and reporting consistency. To be suitable, you will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with strong FP&A or commercial finance experience, technical strengths in Excel (and ideally SQL or Power BI), and a confident, analytical communication style for engaging with senior stakeholders in a developing environment.
