The client is seeking a Founding Head of School for Dwight School Cairo, the latest addition to the global Dwight network. The school is being launched in partnership with the Al Futtaim Education Foundation (AFEF), a not-for-profit organization focused on transforming education in the MENA region. Dwight School Cairo will offer the full IB continuum and prioritize student voice, creativity, and global engagement. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape a major new international school and establish it as a flagship for educational excellence in the region.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a deep alignment with the vision and values of Dwight, AFEF, and the IB. They will be a strategic thinker and communicator, able to build community, inspire confidence, and lead by example. The candidate must have experience as a Head or Principal, as well as first-hand experience with the IB. Start-up experience is a plus. The Founding Head of School will be responsible for building the school's culture, team, and reputation from the ground up, creating a landmark institution in New Cairo that will eventually serve up to 1,700 students.
