the client is seeking an experienced fixed income professional to lead its global and regional commercial strategy for fixed income products, with an emphasis on Bond Connect and China interbank bond market access. In this role, you will drive revenue growth across institutional clients, identify and capture new revenue streams, and build and manage strategic B2B partnerships across APAC and globally.
You will oversee client acquisition and retention and deepen relationships with key market participants, including custodians, broker-dealers, trading platforms, and relevant regulators involved in Bond Connect and cross-border flows. The position also requires monitoring geopolitical and regulatory developments and assessing how factors such as China-US relations, Hong Kong policy changes, sanctions regimes, and capital controls may affect bond market access and client strategies.
Working closely with trading, compliance, legal, risk, and operations teams, you will help deliver seamless cross-border bond trading solutions. You will also lead product development and innovation, potentially including offerings aligned with market demand such as ESG bonds, derivatives hedging tools, and structured solutions, while representing the client in industry forums, engaging with relevant initiatives, and overseeing budgeting, forecasting, pipeline tracking, and KPIs tied to AUM flows, trading volumes, and revenue growth.
