Seeking five Board Members to provide direction and support in line with the organization's goals of promoting sustainable development and generating lasting value for Scotland. Board Members will actively participate in meetings, contribute to strategic decision-making, and assist in the development and monitoring of corporate plans. They will also establish partnerships with other organizations, participate in stakeholder groups, and carry out any other tasks as needed.
The Scottish Crown Estate, managed by Crown Estate Scotland, includes a diverse portfolio of land and property such as seabed, coastline, commercial property, and rural estates. Board Members play a crucial role in ensuring that decisions regarding investments, asset use, and sales have a positive impact on communities and businesses across Scotland. Areas of focus for the organization include community wealth building, impact investing, blue carbon, decarbonized energy transition, and nature conservation.
Board Members are expected to challenge assumptions, provide strong scrutiny, and ensure that Crown Estate Scotland operates effectively and efficiently.
