The client is seeking an experienced crypto-native Financial Director to join a distributed team and lead all finance functions. This role will help advance the organization’s ability to connect digital decentralized technologies with the transfer and trade of physical goods. The Financial Director will build and grow a high-performing finance department, collaborate across the business to maintain operational and financial alignment, and work closely with project and technical teams to support budgeting practices and controls.
Key responsibilities include managing finance operations and relationships with exchanges, suppliers, and customers regarding financial terms, and ensuring crypto operations are efficient, accurate, and properly accounted for. The role will oversee crypto treasury and liquidity considerations, contribute to crypto treasury strategy and provide guidance to the Board, advise on token liquidity, and support exchange and wallet strategy planning, implementation, and management. In addition, the Financial Director will manage asset management and long-term financial planning, oversee stock management auditing and security, and prepare management and audited accounts.
The client will support the setup of bank accounts when required and will manage coordination with finance and legal teams. The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant with hands-on operational finance leadership experience, including substantial exposure to the crypto environment and strong familiarity with digital assets, crypto wallets, exchanges, and crypto transactions. The role is expected to involve providing advice and guidance to the CEO and Board, navigating a high-growth startup environment, demonstrating good analytical capabilities for clear reporting to the Board, and applying knowledge of corporate law, risk management, corporate tax and VAT, and commercial and investor contract management.
