The client is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee the monthly accounting close and ensure accurate accounting records through analytical review of operating results. The role prepares the corporate reporting package, identifies and communicates risks and opportunities affecting monthly and quarterly performance, and sets documentation and data management standards. It also provides external financial reporting and supports external audits by monitoring and confirming the organization’s financial condition through timely information.
The Financial Controller will coordinate budgets with FP&A by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data, and developing action plans. The position involves collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial information to provide status on the organization’s financial condition, while serving as a trusted business partner for a variety of financial questions. The role will help drive regional controllership best practices through simplification, process improvement, and standardization, and will partner with Sales leadership on forecasting, pricing initiatives, and contract negotiation, as well as support business-critical projects when required.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration and will be committed, assertive, accurate, and able to perform under pressure. Experience in financial controlling is expected, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively across all organizational levels, the ability to work with tight deadlines, and comfort prioritizing and managing multiple projects in a dynamic, changing environment. The role typically requires occasional trips abroad, strong working knowledge of financial software and MS Office (especially Excel), with experience in MS Dynamics as an advantage, and very good English proficiency; relevant background in consumer or related goods and prior experience in roles such as Controller, Finance Manager, Financial Analyst, Internal Auditor, or Financial Auditor is valued.
