the client offers 360° search solutions for participants in the global commodities markets and is working with an international trading house to hire a regional financial controller/director to join the team. The role will provide leadership across financial, treasury, tax, compliance, and management reporting functions, supporting decision-making for the organization’s financial performance.
Key responsibilities include preparing and analyzing financial statements with accuracy and compliance with international accounting standards, collaborating on annual budget development and performing variance analysis, managing daily cash flow and optimizing fund allocation while coordinating with local banks, and overseeing tax planning, audits, and statutory compliance aligned with Swiss financial regulations. The role will also produce management information system (MIS) reports covering financial performance, procurement, and other relevant key metrics.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, with professional qualifications such as CPA/ACCA preferred, and typically at least 5 years of experience as a financial controller in agricultural trading or a related industry. Strong proficiency in English is required, with French fluency expected, along with solid knowledge of IFRS and GAAP and familiarity with Swiss financial regulations. Experience with ERP systems and financial software is expected, and the candidate should be analytical, result-oriented, and able to thrive in a multicultural, dynamic environment.
