The client is seeking a finance leader to join the finance function and take responsibility for a broad accounting perimeter within the group. Reporting into the finance direction, the role includes managing a dedicated team and ensuring the quality, consistency, and transparency of financial information produced across the group. The position offers broad exposure to group activities, with an opportunity for experienced profiles to transition from external audit into a more operational role with managerial and strategic dimensions.
Key responsibilities include coordinating periodic close activities and securing financial deliverables under tight deadlines, preparing and reviewing financial statements as well as consolidated accounts, and overseeing the application of relevant accounting standards across group entities. The role also supports consolidation processes to ensure a clear view of performance, including organizing consolidation cycles and validating the data provided, producing analyses for senior management and supervisory bodies, and contributing to the quality and relevance of financial reporting in a highly regulated environment.
The position contributes to financial risk management through regular interaction with control functions and external stakeholders, monitoring applicable regulatory obligations, and supervising tax-related topics in collaboration with specialized experts. The role will also support the evolution of the finance function by optimizing processes, strengthening control mechanisms, and contributing to improvement and transformation projects, including tool and system enhancements and potential automation initiatives. The successful applicant is expected to have significant finance experience, with advanced external audit experience being a strong advantage, alongside strong understanding of financial production and consolidation, multi-entity and multi-currency environments, analytical and critical thinking, the ability to prioritize, and the capability to lead and develop a team.
