The client is seeking a Finance Director to report to the Chief Financial Officer and VP, Finance and serve as a key member of the finance team. In this role, you will help develop the organization’s financial management strategy and support the development of its strategic goals. You will also support the refinement of finance-related policies and procedures, bringing operational finance leadership in a high-growth, mission-driven environment.
You will advise senior leadership on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters. You will act as a liaison to the board and audit committee, communicating and presenting critical financial information at select meetings. You will contribute to organizational strategy, maintain ongoing communication with the CFO regarding critical issues, and represent the organization externally as needed, particularly in banking negotiations.
Requirements include a business or accounting degree as mandatory, with an MBA preferred and CPA preferred. The role typically calls for at least 10 years of experience in senior management, ideally with experience spanning external audit and in-house financial management in a high-growth organization. Experience connected to nonprofit finance and accounting regulations is expected, along with a demonstrated record of driving progressive organizational change and development. Prior experience in roles such as Finance Manager, Controller, Finance Director, or Accounting Manager is appreciated.
